Blast Cleaning

We offer four types of blast cleaning, using different blast media, depending on the required finish.

  • Garnet which is used for all types of material - Maximum sizes we can process are 6 metre long x 3.5 metre wide x 3 metre high. Maximum weight we can handle is 5 tonne as we have overhead cranes and forklifts onsite. We can also offer Tumble Blasting which is ideal for nuts, bolts, washers and other small similar products.

  • Aluminium Oxide generally used for stainless steel, aluminium and brass

  • Chilled iron which is used for mild steel - Maximum sizes we can process are 10 metre long x 3.5 metre wide x 3 metre high

  • Glass bead used on stainless steel, aluminium and brass gives a satin gloss appearance, widely used in the food industry

We can provide a coarse profile of 75-100 microns, down to 25-40 microns. The lower profile is particularly attractive to our powder coating customers, as it enables them to give their usual standard of finish.

Thermal Metal Spraying

Thermal metal spraying is a process that enables us to treat blasted steel with a coating of aluminium or zinc. This gives a galvanized type of protection.

We can apply from 50 microns upwards, and the nature of the metal spray coating gives an excellent key for subsequent paint coatings.

This process is widely accepted by water authorities and the Highways Agency.

Wet Painting

We have a very large paint shop which allows us to offer a wide range of industrial wet paint systems, from blast and prime to multi-coat systems. We also work with high-temperature paints, working in the 200-450 microns range.

We process wet painting products for various industries/sectors including lighting columns, railings, gates, balustrades and structural steelwork.

All of the lighting columns which we process do comply with the Highways Agency painting specifications.

All wet painting can be supplied with a certificate of conformity on request.

Chemical/Burn off Stripping

BURN OFF STRIPPING

With our onsite heat cleaning/burn off oven, we can remove powder coating, paint oil and varnish from metal parts, allowing them to be reused.

Maximum sizes we can process are 3.3mtr long x 1.9mtr wide x 1.8mtr high.

CHEMICAL/ACID STRIPPING

Used to strip metal parts of powder coating and paint to leave the bare material at the end of the process.

After either of the above processes, we have the facilities to then complete your metal finishing requirements whether it be shot blasting, thermal metal spraying, wet painting or powder coating.

Powder Coating

We can powder coat to most RAL & BS colour codes, including various gloss finishes and textures.

With a vast range of powder coating equipment and ovens, we can process items up to 8 metre x 2.5 metre x 3 metre.
